DIPLOMA Show, the festival celebrating the new generation of Romanian artists, architects, and designers, organized by The Institute and presented by UniCredit Bank, announces the call for entries for its 11th edition, which will take place this year from October 4 to 13. Graduates can submit their graduation projects online until July 7.
The 11th edition of the DIPLOMA Show has updated the registration rules to allow the submission of projects (bachelor’s, master’s, integrated system) presented in the autumn session of last year and in the winter session of this year. This change aligns with the academic structure of many universities that host three diploma defense sessions: summer, autumn, and winter. The goal is to provide equal opportunities for graduates.
“We are excited to open registrations for the 11th edition of the DIPLOMA Show, an event that continues to support and promote new talents in art, design, and architecture from Romania. This year, by expanding the eligibility criteria, we aim to offer more graduates the opportunity to showcase their works and connect with industry professionals and the general public,” said Teodora Dinu, Project Director of the DIPLOMA Show.
In this regard, The Institute launches the annual call for entries for the DIPLOMA Show, expecting until July 7 the works created by the new generation of artists, architects, and designers, graduates of the autumn 2023, winter, and summer 2024 classes.
Graduates with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fields such as graphic arts, design, ceramics, photography, video, textile art, painting, fashion, scenography, sculpture, architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and other creative-vocational specialties from universities across the country are invited to apply. A jury of approximately 70 specialists from the creative industries and visual arts, including designers, artists, cultural managers, gallery owners, architects, curators, and university representatives, will select over 100 projects.
The 11th edition of the DIPLOMA Show aims to bring together the creative industries and facilitate interaction between the new generation of creators and the general public, as well as industry professionals. The festival will take place from October 4 to 13, 2024, in Bucharest, and this year’s program will include exhibitions, conferences, parties, and networking contexts dedicated to creative communities.
The registration form can be completed here, and the regulations can be consulted here.
