The futureStage Manifesto was collectively written by the futureStage Research Group at metaLAB at Harvard over the past year. With new expectations for media, culture, and presence in a hyperconnected world, the civic stakes of the performing arts are shifting.

I came to realize that Mia was not about breast cancer so much as it was fundamentally about thinking about our bodies, making time to discover them, while raising our concerns as educated citizens.
